Our signature suite occupies the top floor of the original 1823 building. Exposed oak beams, a king bed dressed in hand-stitched Danish linen, and a freestanding copper bathtub positioned directly beneath a restored dormer window. Wake up to the bells of Ribe Domkirke — you can see the cathedral tower from your pillow.

Vadehavsudsigt
Named for the view toward the Wadden Sea, this deluxe double room sits on the second floor with a wide sash window facing west. Restored oak floorboards from the original build, a queen bed with organic linen, and a window seat deep enough to curl up in with a book. On clear evenings, the sunset over the marshes is spectacular.

Marskværelset
The Marsh Room is named for the flat, wide landscape stretching from Ribe to the sea. A calm, earth-toned double room on the first floor with a view over our courtyard garden. Original brick wall on one side, soft wool throws, and a deep armchair. The kind of room that makes you want to cancel your plans and stay in.

Sortebro
Named after the Black Bridge — one of Ribe's most photographed spots. This deluxe double features dark timber ceiling beams, a queen bed against an exposed brick wall, and a deep clawfoot bathtub. The window overlooks Sct. Nicolaigade, where you can watch Ribe life drift by at its unhurried pace.

Kannikegaard
Named after the Canons' Court — the medieval residence of Ribe's cathedral canons. A quiet, garden-facing double room on the ground floor with its own small terrace. Whitewashed walls, a double bed dressed in linen, and French doors that open directly onto the courtyard. Perfect for travellers who want ground-floor access.

Nattevagten
The Night Watchman — named for Ribe's famous night watchman who has patrolled these streets since the 1300s. This family room sits in the courtyard wing with a queen bed for parents and built-in bunk beds the kids will fight over. Separate seating area, blackout blinds, and a small library of Danish children's books.

Storkereden
The Stork's Nest — a cosy attic room tucked under the eaves. Sloped ceilings, a skylight you can open to hear the cathedral bells, and a double bed that fills the dormer alcove. Small but perfectly formed. The most romantic room in the house for couples who don't mind ducking under a beam.

Vikingestuen
The Viking Room — a tribute to Ribe's founding era. Twin beds dressed in wool throws, a subtle Nordic pattern on the feature wall, and a window overlooking the courtyard. Practical for friends travelling together or solo guests who want a little more space. The room includes a small desk and a miniature library on Ribe's Viking history.

Ravkammer
The Amber Chamber — our smallest room and our best value. Named for the amber that washes up on the Wadden Sea shore. A single room with a window facing the courtyard, a comfortable bed dressed in organic linen, and a compact but well-designed en-suite. Perfect for solo travellers, cyclists on the North Sea route, or a single-night stopover.

Møllehuset
The Mill House — a self-contained apartment in the old mill annex at the end of the courtyard. Two bedrooms (one queen, one can be set as twin or double), a full kitchen with dishwasher, a living area with a sofa, and French doors onto a private walled garden with outdoor seating. Ideal for families, longer stays, or anyone who wants the hotel experience with apartment independence.
